He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Tystahl and Marie Tystahl (Eike); his wife Joan; his sister Karen Cakerice; his brother-in-law Howard Cakerice; his parents-in-law, Elmer Lettow and Mabel Lettow (Pickering); his siblings-in-law, Steven Lettow, Jeanette Krause, Dennis Krause and Don Rubendall; and his great grandchildren, Theodore and Rocco Korte.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Tystahl (Robyn) of Radcliffe, IA and Tracy Sullivan (Toby) of LeMars, IA.; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Korte (Jacob) of Waukee, IA, Calli Tenson (Ally) of Cedar Falls, IA, Anna, Mary Sullivan of LeMars, IA, Megan Goeders (Krzysztof) of Denver, CO, Rylie Goeders (Jimmie) of Kansas City, MO and Drew Goeders of Ames; his great grandchildren, Asher, Zeb and Olive Korte; and his close friend Marlowe Peppar.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (601 Isabella St, Radcliffe, IA 50230). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Radcliffe, IA or Radcliffe Friendly Fairways Golf Course, Radcliffe, IA.
