He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughes and Phyllis Hughes (Maca); and his siblings, Lee Hughes, Debbie Edwards, Paula Sanders, Geri Kester and Matt Hughes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Reed (Wayne) of Bentonville, AR, Nancy Ehlers (Jim) of Rogers, AR, Chris Hughes (Cindy) of Red Oak, IA, Bruce Hughes St (Peggy) and Monica Steffen (Garry). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LeRette Funeral Chapel, Inc. (1995 G Ave, Red Oak, IA 51566). A rosary will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the LeRette Funeral Chapel (1995 G Ave, Red Oak, IA 51566). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1510 Highland Ave, Red Oak, IA 51566).
