He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George, Ethel Light (Setterstrom), Floyd and Lillian Hoover (Webbink). He is survived by: his parents, Dean Light and Darlene Light (Hoover) of Kansas City, KS; his wife Jennifer Light of Red Oak, IA; his children, Maggie Light of Red Oak, IA, Brandon Light of Guthrie Center, IA and Cody Johnson of Omaha, NE; his sister Amy Maskil (Dan) of Kansas City, KS; his parents-in-law, Cindy Dunn of Red Oak, IA and Larry Foreman (Tammi King); his sister-in-law Janell Milner (Tom) of Red Oak, IA; and his sibling's children, Abigail Maskil of Kansas City, KS, Aaron Maskil of Iwakuni, Japan, Priscilla Cline (Kenny) of Omaha, NE and Chloe Milner of Red Oak, IA. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
