He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Charles McCoppin and Grace McCoppin (Hidy); his stepfather Grover Price; his aunt Grace McCoppin; his son-in-law Michael "Mike" McDonald; and his granddaughter Olivia McCoppin.
He is survived by : his wife Mary McCoppin; his children, Scott McCoppin (Pam) of Omaha, NE, Rex McCoppin of St. Louis, MO, David McCoppin of Auburn, NE, Suzanne McDonald (Dave Bowen) and Janet Norris (James) of Red Oak, IA; his great grandchildren, Zach, Kristin McCoppin, Maddox, Marley and Lennon; his grandchildren, Brock, Kayla McCoppin, Casey, Megan, Josh Kendrick, Mason, Grace, Lyla, Michael, Julia McDonald, Lane, Clarke, Jamie, Katie, Lucus Stevens, Fiadh, Jacob, Taylor Norris, Navy, Crosby, Blythe, Joey Norris, Samantha Williams, Jill Norris, Corrine McCoppin, Elmo Morris, Eli McCoppin, Emma, Addilyn, Norah, John McCoppin, Thomas McCoppin, Sophia McCoppin, Hannah McCoppin and Isaac McCoppin; and his sister Sue Rupp. He is also survived by many other relatives friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery Soil and Water Conservation District.
