He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Ritnour; his children, Stanley Thompson (Nancy) of Clive and Sherry Powers (Drue) of Red Oak, Iowa; his grandson Andrew Thompson (Mary Katherine) of Vail, Colorado; his children, Matthew Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa, Samuel Thompson (Rachel) of Medina, Minnesota, Benjamin Thompson (Rayza) of Denver, Colorado, Ethan Powers of Omaha, Nebraska and Logan Powers (Aubre) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Tatum Thompson and Lynden Thompson; and his sister Betty McConnell (Wes). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
