He was predeceased by: his parents, Swedish and Axel; his wife Marian Swanson; his son Steve; and his daughter-in-law Marie.
He is survived by: his children, David Carlson of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Dan Carlson (Linda) of Overland Park, Kansas and Diane Anderson (Kevin) of Arlington, Texas; his daughters-in-law, Karen Carlson of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Denise Skramstad (Gary) of Tega Cay; and his grandchildren, Jedidiah Carlson, Isaac Carlson, Laura Seidel (Gabe), Andrew Carlson (Kenzie), Ryan Anderson (Melanie), Michaela Elfstrom (Ryan), Charis Roehrenbeck (Keith), Anna Carlson, Josiah Carlson (Brittney), Kajsa Matheny (Thomas), Justin Skramstad and Jacob Skramstad. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
