With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene E. Knee of Red Oak, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Irene may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Columbus and Erville Irene Ward (Butterfield); her husband Elmer Henry Knee; her son Darrell Knee; her daughter-in-law Rachel Knee; her sister Mary Smith; and her brother-in-law Jerry Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Knee of Olathe, Kansas, Duane Knee of Red Oak, Iowa and Don Knee (Mary Ann) of Battle Creek, Nebraska; and her daughter-in-law Karen Knee of Sioux City, Iowa. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
