She was predeceased by : her parents, Jay Tye and Bonnie Tye (Abramson); and her siblings, Patrick Tye, Teresa Daniels and James Tye.

She is survived by : her husband Randy Bruce of Red Oak, IA; her sons, Lewis Bruce (Keesha) of Atlantic, IA and Dana Bruce (Vanessa Griffin) of Littleton, CO; her granddaughter Melissa Budinger of Billings, MT; her sons, Cohen Bruce of Atlantic, IA and Adler Bruce of Atlantic, IA; her sister Linda Tye of Denver, CO; and her sister-in-law Cathy Barnes (Bill) of Englewood, CO. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Estabrook Cancer Center at Nebraska Methodist Hospital.
