With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Rachel Perkins of Red Oak, Iowa, who passed away on November 11, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Kelly Glen and Margaret Houtchens (Hanslip); her husband Gordon Perkins; and her sisters, Betty Hettinger, Arlene Stump-Shriver, Lucille Larent and Mary Ethel Houtchens.

She is survived by : her daughters, Elaine Hollen (John) of Red Oak, IA and Denise Leibold (Jerry) of Waverly, IA; her grandchildren, Andy Rea (Trina), Kelsey Hollen and Jamison Leibold (Alicia); her great grandchildren, Amber, Jackson, William, Austin Rea, Jordy and Piper Leibold; her brothers, Donald Houtchens of Kansas City, MO, Darrell Hopp (Carolyn) of Glenwood, IA and African; her grandson Dr. Fungisai Nota (Ellah); and her son Sam. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
