She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hicks and Vivian Hicks (DeBolt); her brother Robert Hicks (Bob); and her nephew Chad Hicks. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Olson of Red Oak, IA; her children, Terry Westerlund (Amy) of Red Oak, IA and Tammy Magneson (Jeff) of Stanton, IA; her brother Don Hicks (Linda) of Stanton, IA; her sister-in-law Mary Hicks of Emerson, IA; her grandchildren, Heather Downing (Adam) of Winterset, IA, Dayne Magneson (Bailey) of Bondurant, IA, Seth Esaias (Carly) of Stanton, IA and Noah Westerlund of Red Oak, IA; her great grandchildren, Delainey and Brevyn Magneson; her grandchildren, Walker and Waverly Esaias; her stepchildren, Sheila Madsen (Curt), David Olson (Lynne) and Danny Olson (Kandee) of Red Oak, IA; her stepgrandchildren, Kelly Visser (Adam), Janelle Martin (Robbie), Jake Olson (Brittni), Delania Olson, Cam and Kendra Crisman; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Mae, Miley Visser, Lydia Martin and Berkley Olson. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the LeRette Funeral Chapel, Inc. (1995 G Ave, Red Oak, IA 51566).

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Red Oak Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.
