He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Eggeling and Florence Eggeling (Kemp); his siblings, Rick, Ron Eggeling and Sonja Hilva; and his stepson Rick Borem.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Eggeling of Denison, IA and Donnita Kent (Burton) of Council Bluffs, IA; his close friend Carol Eggeling of Red Oak; his stepchildren, Ryan Borem of Ohio, Ray Borem (Annie) of Red Oak, Robin Grove (James) of Las Vegas, NV and Ron Borem of Illinois; and his brothers, Paul Eggeling (Paula) of Florida and Rod Eggeling of Glenwood, IA. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the LeRette Funeral Chapel (525 E. Ratliff Road, Red Oak, IA 51566).
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation for use in the oncology department.
