He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Heistand and Gloria Heistand; his granddaughters, Rylie and Baby Luichinger; and his pets, Rosie, Hawk and Lilly.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Heistand, Shyla Wade (Taylor) and Austin Heistand; his grandchildren, Brodee, Bridget, Blake, Lincoln and Levi; his siblings, Debbie Garcia (Joe), Pam Arrington (Dave), Scott Heistand (Michelle) and Brian Heistand (Jeannie); and his pets, Buck and Bella.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Garner Township Cemetery (1372 Jennings Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
