She was predeceased by: her parents, Allan Carr and Ruth Carr (Stoddard); her husband Richard "Dick" Rote; her daughter-in-law Susan Rote; and her siblings, Carolyn Hatten, Bob Carr, Hughie Carr, James Carr, Donnie Carr, Marcus Carr, Phyllis Lambrecht, Allen Carr, Warren Carr, Max Carr and Jack Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Rote of Osceola, Iowa and Linda Cope of Dexter, Iowa; her grandchildren, Tracy Bainter (Cameron) of Murray, Brian Rote (April) of Bronte and Chelsey Clark (Drew) of Murray, Iowa; and her siblings, Larry Carr and Cindy Rote. She is also survived by extended family members and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Family Funeral Home - Stuart (123 NE 2nd St, Stuart, IA 50250). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Redfield United Methodist Church (715 Jefferson St, Redfield, IA 50233).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bonnie Rote Memorial Fund and will be designated by the family at a later date or the Redfield American Legion Auxiliary.
