We bid farewell to Darwin Keith Draayer (Remsen, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 18, 2026 at the age of 73. Darwin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Draayer and Gertrude Draayer (Dibbet); his brother Earl Draayer; his parents-in-law, Floyd and Verna Harvey; his brother-in-law David Harvey; and his stepgrandson Dylan Wiebersch.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Harvey-Galles of Remsen, IA; his stepchildren, Jacki UIlman (Jim) of Wahoo, NE, John Galles (Amber) of Aurora, CO, Jamie Spangler (Cory) of Le Mars, IA, Joe Galles (Sarah) of Le Mars, IA, Jesse Galles (Amanda) of Le Mars, IA, Jeremy Galles (Melissa) of Le Mars and Julie Wortman (Wes) of Wynot, NE; his brothers, Lyle Draayer (Emily) of Anchorage, AK and Conrad Draayer of Louisville, CO; his niece Amber Draayer; and his in-laws, Keith Harvey (Noreen), Karen Anderson, Roger Harvey (Maureen) and Lauri Dickman. He is also survived by 26 step-grandchildren, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
In lieu of gifts and flowers the family asks that donation be directed to Hope Angels in Remsen and Orange City Hospice.
