He is survived by: his wife Linda Ahlers (Lynn) of Joseph's Catholic Church; his child Erin Pick (Christopher); his granddaughter Jocelyne of LeMars, Iowa; his daughter Nicole Patent (Andrew); his grandchild Jameson of Randolph, Nebraska; his son Jeremy Ahlers (Jamie); his grandchildren, Kaleb and Davis of Remsen, Iowa.; his siblings, Phil Ahlers (Teryl) of Remsen, Iowa, Christine Nielsen (Scott) of Le Mars, Iowa and Mary Tucker of Remsen, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Ahlers of LeMars, Iowa, Gary Langel (Cindy) of LeMars, Iowa, Sue Huls (Merle) of LeMars, Iowa, Bruce Langel, Billie Jean Ring of San Antonio, Texas, Kathy Langel of LeMars, Iowa and Kim Walker of Glenwood, Iowa. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of gifts and flowers the family asks that memorials in Dave's name be sent to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City, IA.
