With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Olivia Heidesch of Remsen, Iowa, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Minten and Rose Minten (Pottebaum); her husband Lyle Heidesch of Mary's Catholic Church; her granddaughters, Lindsay Heidesch and Rachael Hyland; her son-in-law Dennis Von Arb; her siblings, Paul Minten (Rita), Joseph Minten, Rosemary O'Gara (Bill) and Esther McClure (James); and her in-laws, Vernon Staab, Bill Heidesch (Shirley), James Nolan, John Ungs and Gordon Grieve.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Heidesch (Ann) of Granville, IA, Pete Heidesch (Sharon) of Remsen, IA, Anne Von Arb of Alton, IA, Nancy Hyland of Glenwood, IA, Bob Heidesch (Vicky) of Remsen, IA, Lee Heidesch (Cheryl) of Papillion, NE and Carl Heidesch of Dubuque, IA; her siblings, Marvin Minten (Doris), Lloyd Minten, Harold Minten (Martha), Edith Staab, Helen Shockey (Fred) and Carol Schemmel (James); and her in-laws, Phyllis Ungs, Holly Nolan, Mary Grieve and Rosie Grage (Gary). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
