It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Mathew Schroeder (Remsen, Iowa), who passed away on April 2, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Schroeder and Clara Schroeder (Hansen); his daughter Susan Kay Schroeder; and his siblings, Celesta Rupp (Wilmer), Silverius Schroeder and Irvin Schroeder (Norma).

He is survived by : his wife Paula Tentinger of Remsen; and his children, Ann Pick (Bob) of Omaha, NE., Joe (Kendra), Jane Vaske (Randy) of Remsen, IA., Connie Kellen (Bill) of Omaha, NE., Dale Schroeder (Debbie) of Remsen, IA., Steven Schroeder (Rita) of Cedar Falls, IA., Ron Schroeder (Carmella) of Omaha, NE., Jay Schroeder (Tami) of Remsen, IA., Russ Schroeder (Michelle) of Remsen, IA. and Judy Roder (Dan) of Sioux City, IA.. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a cause to be decided at a later date.

“Aunt Paula and family, we are so sorry to hear about Uncle Gib. This is such sad news and so unfortunate that everyone can't get together. I will always remember his smile and his patience when you were busy talking and he was so ready to leave. I get a smile on my face every time I think about him.
