It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James D. Moritz (Remsen, Iowa), who passed away at the age of 88, on May 21, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Christopher Moritz and Casilda Moritz (Frank); his brother Dick; his siblings-in-law, Delores Moritz, Ken Ludwig and Cecil Pottebaum; his niece Roxanne Moritz; his parents-in-law, Roman and Marian Groff; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Arens, Kenneth G. Alesch and Larry Wearth.

He is survived by : his wife Fae Groff; his son Christopher (Jennifer); his siblings, Don and Maxine Pottebaum; and his siblings-in-law, Dan Groff (Clarice), Marietta Alesch and Chris Wearth. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.

Viewing with no family present and keeping to the COVID-19 restrictions of 10 people at a time will be 12-2 p. m. Tuesday at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.

In lieu of flowers or a memorial, please make a donation in Jim's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Diabetes Association or St. Mary's.
