He is survived by: his father Merlin Klaas; his wife Jan Klaas; his children, Joel Lane (Kelly) of Valrico, FL, Chris Cook (Deb) of Rhodes, Jamie Cook of Grimes and Heidi Tuttle of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Brandon, Morgan, Nicholas, Aiden and Mercedes (Nicole); and his siblings, Karen Hart (Jim), Mark Klaas and Dan Klaas (Sarah).
