He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carlson and Clara Carlson (Zobel); his wives, Margaret Ann Bagford and Elaine Kortmann (Marth); his brother Larry Carlson; and his great grandchild Chance Julin.

He is survived by: his children, Harry Carlson, Lisa Angle (Michael) of Stanberry, Leon Carlson, Lloyd Carlson Jr. (Lashelle) of Norwalk, LaDonna Rasmussen (Craig) of Galva, Logan Carlson (Colleen) of Norwalk, Penny Ewoldt (Joe) of Vail, Roxanne Wray (Russell) of Mapleton and Sheila Rickers (John) of Westside, Iowa.; and his sister-in-law Donna Carlson. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family to disburse to organizations meaningful to Lloyd.
