She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy E. Wood and Alma L. Wood (Riegel); her husband Bob Stewart; her siblings, Glen, Norman, Joe (Mabel), Gilbert Wood, Julia Polito (Anthony) and Bonnie Porter (Jim); and her son-in-law Craig James.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara James of Washington, Iowa, Sheri Plecker (Marty) of Ainsworth, Iowa and Robert Stewart (Marita) of Riverside, Iowa; her grandchildren, Nic Plecker (Megan), Melanie Harrison (Josh), Stuart Plecker (Lindsay) and Tara Stewart-Ruiz (David); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Wood of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dolores Wood of Washington, Iowa, Opal Wood of Arizona and Pat Dawson (Clyde) of Washington, Iowa.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Elm Grove Cemetery (1101 S Ave E, Washington, IA 52353).
