He was predeceased by: his parents, George Groen and Arlene Groen (Heikes); and his brother Alan Groen. He is survived by: his children, Sally, DeAnn, Genna, Gregg and Geoff; and his aunts, Millie Lais and Ruth Wiertzema.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Homes - Rock Rapids (1207 Park Dr, Rock Rapids, IA 51246). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at 31828 Jones Ave, Rushmore, MN 56168.
