With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jacob Van Voorst of Rock Rapids, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Voorst and Jennie Van Voorst (Maassen); his grandson Lucas Faber; and his brothers, John and Raymond Van Voorst.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Van Voorst of Rock Rapids; his children, Julie De Ruyter (Craig) of Rock Rapids, Sheryl Moret (Scott) of Gilbert, Lisa Faber (Doug) of Inwood, Wanda Hoogendoorn (Elwyn) of George and Jacob "Jay" Van Voorst (Stacy) of Canton; his sister Jeanette Van Beek (Marv) of Rock Valley; and his sister-in-law Rena Van Voorst of Sioux Center, Iowa.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials which may be directed to Fellowship Village of Inwood or Avera@Home Hospice – Rock Rapids.
