He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDonagh and Violet Anna McDonagh (Riley); and his siblings, Eunice Ganteaum, James Peter McDonagh, Charles McDonagh, William McDonagh, Eleanor Klar, Peter McDonagh and Therese McDonagh Weber.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McDonagh of Rock Rapids, IA; his children, Linnie Ditsworth (Marcus) of Rock Rapids, IA and Barton Conger (Michele) of Woodbury, MN; his grandchildren, Xander, Xaccai, Adelinne Ditsworth, Maria and Gianna Conger; and his siblings, John McDonagh of Puyallup, WA and Alice Parks of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:45 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1599 S Tama St, Rock Rapids, IA 51246).
