He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvia Meyer and Emma Meyer (Metzger); his siblings, George Meyer, Mary Lou Streitmatter, Doreen Meyer, Kay Banwart and Madeline Meyer; his grandson Jaden Meyer; and his great grandchildren, Owen Meyer and Aylah Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa of Sioux Falls, SD, Dean Meyer (Linda) of Rock Rapids, Denis Meyer (Jill) of Rock Rapids, Dawn Knobloch (Stan) of Rock Rapids, Terry Meyer (Paula) of Rock Valley, IA, Merlin Meyer (Marilyn) of Rock Rapids, Brad Meyer (Trinda) of Lester, Joy Kupferschmid (Eric) of Rock Rapids, Jana Miniex (Paul) of Los Angeles, CA and JoAnn Nester (Willis) of Rock Rapids; his wife Twyla Bauman; his siblings, Earl Meyer (Barb), Margaret Grimm (Eli), Irene Banwart, Paulette Zaugg (Norm) and Lila Wirtz (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Banwart and Elaine Wagenbach. He is also survived by ten children, forty-three grandchildren, and sixty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church (510 Dove Ave, Lester, IA 51242). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, considerations for memorials may be given to Apostolic Christian Harvest Call, Hope Haven, or Beecin Hospice.
