She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev Peter DeBuhr and Ella DeBuhr (Klinger); her husband John Van Aartsen; her siblings, Calvin DeBuhr (Pearl), Margaret Huisman (Wert), Amanda Becker (Harm), Christina Wessels (Joe), Herman DeBuhr (Ethel) and Elmer DeBuhr (Alma); and her daughter-in-law Patty Van Aartsen.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Parker (Dale) of Casa Grande, AZ, Steve Van Aartsen of Sioux Falls, SD, Randy Van Aartsen (Susan) of Pewaukee, WI, Cindy Bosch (Randy) of Rock Rapids, IA and Stan Van Aartsen (Marie) of Prairie du Sac, WI; her grandchildren, Julie Fowler (James), Robyn Kranz (Cody), Lisa Rupp (Scott), Dale Parker Jr., Heather De Wit (Jaron), Michael Van Aartsen, Luke Lerdal (Sandra), Nora Oldenburg (Everett), Reva Johnson, Daniel Van Aartsen (Siobhan), Krista Sincere (Dylan), Joshua Van Aartsen, Nikki Thomas (Jereme), Dustin Bosch (Taylor), Amy Van Aartsen and Abby DuCharme (Ben); her brother-in-law Henry Van Aartsen; and her close friend Karen LeMonds. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Reformed Church Rock Rapids, Children's & Youth Ministry or the Senior Companion Program.
