Ruth Grueneich Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Grueneich of Rock Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Strauss and Wilhelmina Strauss (Zeitner); her brother Ervin Strauss; and her husband Reuben Grueneich. She is survived by: her children, Shari Kooiker (Keith) of Rock Rapids, IA, Daniel Grueneich of Branson, MO and Rodney Grueneich of Branson, MO; her granddaughter Kara Rigsby (Doug); her great grandchildren, Evan, Katelynn and Allyson of Gillette, WY; her granddaughter Kendra Leonhardt (Ross); her great grandchildren, Nolan and Eagan of Sioux Falls, SD; her granddaughter Kayla Peters (Ryan) of Harrisburg, SD; and her great grandchildren, Dayton Peters (Gita) and Haylie Carpenter (Chayden). She is also survived by two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Faith Baptist Church (704 S 12th Ave, Rock Rapids, IA 51246). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
