He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Bleyenberg (Van Beek); his sister Dorothy Koedam; his brothers-in-law, Bill Koedam, Johnny Van Beek, Gary Van Beek and Everett Koedam; and his grandchildren, Travis and Jennifer.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Ann Bleyenberg; his children, Annette Van Beek (Kurt), Gary Bleyenberg (Stephanie) and Brent Bleyenberg; his sisters, Trudy Koedam, Alma and Hoed; and his brother-in-law Jim Van Beek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
