Leola Marlane Bakker Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 12, 2025, at the age of 90, Leola Marlane Bakker of Rock Valley, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ginkel and Mary Van Ginkel (Koedam); her husband Henry Bakker; her grandsons, Ethan Van Driel, Gavin Van Driel and Dustin Bakker; her daughter-in-law LaVonne Bakker; her brother Edwin Van Ginkel; and her siblings-in-law, Alice Van Ginkel and Mease Van Beek (Bakker).

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Croker (Brian) of Whiting, Glen Bakker (Dawn) of Lake Norden, Mark Bakker of Sioux Falls, Doug Bakker (Cheryl) of Urbandale, Lisa Bakker (Horizons Unlimited), David Bakker (Regina) of Dodgeville, Eric Bakker (Drennan Fischer) of Cumming and Susan Van Driel (Kevin) of Hawarden, Iowa; her siblings, Wilma Van Beek of Rock Valley and Gerald Van Ginkel (Marcia) of Sioux Falls; and her sister-in-law Angeline Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
