She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Henry Reuber and Eva Drucilla Reuber (Freese); her sister Dorothy Drucilla Higby; and her siblings-in-law, Warren Long and Jane Ann Blann.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Schumburg; her children, Steve "Felix" Schumburg of Waterloo, IA and Janet Schumburg of Rockford, IA; and her sister Grace Long. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
