He was predeceased by: his parents, Eno John and Isabelle Cecelia Reiter (Hesse); his son Kevin; his sister Maxine Watkins; and his nephew Melvin Jr. Reiter.

He is survived by: his wife Ramona Reiter; his daughter Shelley Brunner (Michael) of Eau Claire, WI; his grandchildren, Kaylyn Marquardt (Alex), Hannah and Evan Brunner; his great grandchildren, Freya and Celeste Marquardt; his siblings, Melvin Reiter (Anne), Alvin Reiter and Marlys Reiter; his sisters-in-law, Virginia Kuhlers and Sheryl Jackson; and his pets, Oscar and Angel. He is also survived by many extended family members and great friends.
