He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Thompson; his parents, Glenn Nelson and Helen Nelson (Glasgow); and his sister Elaine Thorland. He is survived by: his sisters, Andrea Kuhn (Gary) of Gowrie and Jolene Rasty (Scott) of Lohrville; his brother-in-law Joel Thorland of Cannon Falls, MN; and his nieces and nephews, Amy Thorland (Joe), Melissa Seleski (Vinnie), Kirsten Thorland (Josh Smith), Holly Shirbroun (Darian) of Ames, Kyle Kuhn (Sarah) of Gowrie, Shannon Worcester (Tom) of Norwalk, John Rasty of Orion, IL and Shantell Rasty of Sac City.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Rockwell City Church of Christ (850 Tonawanda St, Rockwell City, IA 50579). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
