He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pruin and Ruth Pruin (Galpin); his former wife Marlene Smith; his parents-in-law, Frank and Ruth Smith; and his brother Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Doug Pruin (Tammy) of Rockwell, Barbara Moorehead (Bill) of Mason City and Leigh Sheahan (John) of Roland; his grandchildren, Jennifer Bixel (Peter), Krista Hemann (Eric) of Mason City, Matthew Pruin (Maggie), Mark Pruin (Melissa) of Ankeny, Kendra Helgeland (Adam) of Lake Mills, Dustin Moorehead (Traci) of Hampton, Joshua Moorehead (Toya) of Mason City, Jordan Sheahan (Elizabeth) of Iowa Falls, Jacob Sheahan (Jenscie), Jewell and Ali Sheahan of Waterloo; his brother Robert Pruin (Jeanette); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Pruin and Marilyn Schwanke (Al). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
