She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Kauffman (Don) and Patricia Kauffman (Pat); her brother Robert (Bob); her grandparents, Ralph, Leone Kauffman, Helen Bartosh (Domek) and Henry Domek; her siblings-in-law, Daniel Watson III and Cindy Kauffman; and her father-in-law Elijah Lawson.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney Watson; her children, Justin (Anne) and Stephanie Mendoza (Luis); her grandchildren, Jordain, Amilia, Oliver, Rosemary, Billie and Zelda; and her brothers, Gary Kauffman (Karen), James Kauffman (Vicki), Kevin Kauffman (Christy) and Dan Kauffman (Bev). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deb's memory to the Bird House Hospice Home of Iowa City.
