Rod Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 66, Rod Smith of Rodney, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberta Louise (Middleton) and Otto Vernon Smith; his son Joseph Robert; and his sister-in-law Cathy Rock Smith. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Kay Rock; his children, Mary Fae Smith and James Otto Smith (Nicole); his daughter-in-law Tina Smith; his grandchildren, Cody James, Sadie Jo, Jolie Christina, Charlotte Eden, Joseph Brooks and Evangeline Marie; and his siblings, Robert Smith (Cheryl) and Jennifer Hall (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fouts Funeral Home- Woodbine (501 Normal St, Woodbine, IA 51579). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church (509 Ely St, Woodbine, IA 51579).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the ALS Foundation or the Woodbine Black and Gold.
