He was predeceased by: his father Leroy George Higgins; and his brothers, Keith and Richard Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Maripat Higgins of Roland; his children, Robert Loren Higgins, Jr. of Osceola, WI, Thomas Michael Higgins of Superior, WI, Daniel Osheim Higgins of Superior, WI and Karen Ione Williams (Brett) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Jacob Higgins, Ayden Williams, Ahnie Williams, Amaya Williams and Aaliyah Williams; and his sister-in-law Marian Higgins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bergen Lutheran Church (101 W Maple St, Roland, IA 50236). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:10 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bergen Lutheran Church, Bethany Life or Roland Historical Society.
