He is survived by: his wife Lorrie Rasmussen of Rowley, IA; his daughters, Lonnie Rasmussen and Hallie Dahl (Matt); his grandchildren, Brexton, Kaylee, Maximus, Bailey and Maverick; his siblings, Robert Rasmussen (Micky Avis) of Rowley, IA, Paul Rasmussen (Lisa) of Rowley, IA, Richard Rasmussen (Pam) of Independence, IA, Alan Rasmussen (Rose) of Winthrop, IA, Ann Lamparter (Eric) of Rowley, IA and Molly Greenley (Joel) of Independence, IA; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Blaness of Rowley, IA, Brock Hayward (Sam) of Hernando, FL and Dirk Hayward (DeDe) of Floral City, FL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Buchanan County Fairgrounds (204 12th St NE, Independence, IA 50644).
