He is survived by: his children, Wanda Pankratz (Bryan) of Prior Lake, MN, Teresa Mohlis of Garner, IA, Ann Marie Phelps (Chris) of Sioux Rapids, IA and Kyle Behrends (Rachel) of Eagan, MN; and his brothers, Randy Behrends of Atlanta, GA and Raymond Behrends of Osage, IA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (207 Church St, Royal, IA 51357). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Willow Creek Cemetery.
