She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Roy" Cook and Elsie Cook (Benway); her husband Larry Alexander; her daughter Laura Becker; her brother Roy Cook (Leah); and her brother-in-law Tom Steinbach.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann Mikell, Craig Alexander (Karna) and Sue Haack (Rich); her grandchildren, Michael Alexander (Alexis), Jeffery Alexander (Abby), Landon Haack, Colten Haack, Lisa Bartlett (Jeff), Scott Mikell (Tiffany) and James Mikell (Iliyanna); her sister JoAnn Steinbach; and her friend Linda Johnson. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Confidence Cemetery (3200-3206 CR).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Russell Fire Department or to the Wayne County Empty Stocking Program.
