He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Koenigs and Marie Koenigs (Bissen); his daughter Sandra; his grandsons, Casey and Taylor; his great-grandparent Harry; and his grandparent Robin.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Niess; his children, Mark (Sindee), Jim (Linda), Harry (Robin), Greg (Sally), Paul and Lisa Heimer (Keith); his grandchildren, Angela, Alex (Megan), Clark (Momo), Emily (Jason Myrvold), Jackson, Chandler, Hunter (Alison), Joe Heimer (Abby), Tony Heimer (Lauren), Sam Heimer (Cylea) and Grace Hanna (Dylan); his siblings, Elaine Ramberg and Jerry (Sandy); his sister-in-law Bonnie; his brothers, John and Roman; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth and Dan Ramberg. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to be made to: St. Ansgar First Responders, Good Samaritan or Stacyville Community Nursing Homes, Visitation Parish or Sacred Heart Oratory.
