The memory of Jack Allen Edgington of Saint Ansgar, Iowa, who passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Edgington and Viola Edgington (Tucke); and his son-in-law Jim McMillan. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his son Chris Edgington (Vanessa) of St. Ansgar; his grandson Alex (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Colton, Rylee, Louellen and Hadley; his children, Mackenzie and Tom (Melissa) of St. Ansgar; his grandchild Larissa Heimer (Brian); his great grandchildren, Urijah, Alissa and Roselyn; his children, Aidan, Fletcher, Cooper, Ryland, Barrett, Walter, Viola and Anne McMillan; his grandchildren, Stephanie Callahan (Sam) and Matthew McMillan; his sister Bonnie Edgington (Bill Singer); and his sisters-in-law, Sheri McNutt (Robert) and Judy Goplerlud (David).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Ansgar United Methodist Church (510 W 4th St, St Ansgar, IA 50472). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Ansgar First Responders or please plant two trees in a location of your choosing in Jack's honor.
