He was predeceased by: his mother Ella M. Marckmann (Fust); his wife Mary Maxine Murphy; his parent August Marckmann; his wife Dorothy Stuempfle Mowen; his sons, Roger and Dennis Marckmann; his sister Fern Stolk; his grandson Mathew Mowen; Andy Nelson and Doug McCauley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherri Marckmann and Brenda Fickes (John); his grandchildren, Shelby Orr (Tony) and John D. Fickes (Amanda); his daughter-in-law Teresa Marckmann; his stepchildren, David Mowen (Cindy), Corinne Nelson and Christine Mowen; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Moore (Lewis), Ryan McCauley (Brooke), Cole McCauley (Kelli) and Karlee Nelson (Cameron Kluesner). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be designated to organizations meaningful to Ivan.
