With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnnie Johnston of Saint Charles, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Johnston and Edythe Johnston (Gamble); and his parents-in-law, Janet and John Gotschall. He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Lyn (Jason Hoffman) and Amy Elizabeth (John Butler); his wife Debby Johnston of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Noah Hoffman (Marina) of Des Moines, Jonah Hoffman, Adleigh and Ellason Butler of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; his sister Sharry (Denny Hanna) of St. Charles; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy, Reid Spencer of Gladstone and Marcia Gotschall of Gladstone, Missouri. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions in Johnnie's memory may be made to St. Charles Parish, where he was a lifelong member, or the Iowa Donor Network.
