We announce the death of Ruth M. Michaelson (Saint Donatus, Iowa), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 65. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris and Manly; and her grandparents, Florabel, John Holdefer, Viva and Manly Michaelson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Rob (Deb), James (Vivian), Charles (Becky) and Martha. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and 25 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St John's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given via Hachman-Mier Funeral Home to the Stratford Specialty Care Nursing and Rehabilitation home in support of residents quality of life programs.
