She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Smith and Mary Smith (Coady); her husband Don; her grandsons, Daniel and Jason; and her siblings, Bernard Smith, Leonard Smith and Kathryn Gilson.
She is survived by: her children, Don McCarty, Jr. (Mai) of Salem and Tandee Moore of Missouri; her grandchildren, Tina, Michael, Nami, James, Giorgio, Talun, Tai, Ashley and Shane; and her sibling's children, Janet Benedict, Ron Zihlman and Harold Smith. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
