It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George F. Septer of Salem, Iowa, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George F. Septer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Septer and Carlotta Septer (Gumbo); and his siblings, Ralph Septer, Dale Septer and Shirley Guzman.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Hourihan of Salem; his children, Mike Septer of Ottumwa and Lora Meierotto (Charlie) of Pilot Grove; and his grandchildren, Susan, George, Mitch and Trisha.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home (408 N Broadway St, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641).
A memorial has been established in his memory.
