He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee and Pearl Lee (Schultz); his grandson Nichols Perrott; and his siblings, Harry Lee, Elmer Lee, Junior Lee, Irene Bailey, Dorothy Swan, Opal Johnson, Wilma Mabeus and Evelyn Bell.

He is survived by: his wife Meralene Bailey of Salem; his grandson Eagle Scouts; and his children, Kent Lee (Lorrie) of Mt. Pleasant, Brian Lee (Cleo) of Lynn Haven, Connie Edgington (Wendell) of Ft. Madison, Cindy Perrott (Terry) of Rome and Georgia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
