"Gene" Van Meeteren; her family Lord; her daughter Kristina Jean; her father Gerrit Pennings; her sister Cheryl Palsma; her parents-in-law, Nick and Jeannette Van Meeteren; her brother-in-law Robert Wolthuizen; her son Keven Van Meeteren (Robin); her grandchildren, Karter Van Meeteren (Mikayla) of Sanborn, IA and Rianne Van Meeteren of Sioux Falls, SD; her mother Irene Pennings of Orange City, IA; her sisters, Marcia Scholten (Arlan) of Orange City, IA, Deb Kosters (Greg) of Sibley, IA, Dianne Van Wyk (John) of Orange City, IA, Nelva Huitink (Harlan) of Newkirk, IA and Rachel Vander Zee (Craig) of Marion, SD; Gerald Van Meeteren (Harriet) of Sheldon, IA, Ed Van Meeteren of Sheldon, IA, Marlys Wolthuizen of Sheldon, IA and Eileen Van Meeteren of Anthon, IA. She was also cherished by her six sisters, lending her mom.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 19th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Reformed Church (512 Summit St, Sanborn, IA 51248). A burial was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the West Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (512 Summit St, Sanborn, IA 51248).

Memorials given in Carol's honor will be directed to Sanborn First Reformed Church VBS Program and Inspiration Hills.
