He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Sampson (Kramme) and Daniel Boone Sampson; his siblings, June and Darrel; and his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Kurth.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Joan DeBoom; his daughters, Dianne Jameson (Larry), Barbara Krull (Russell), Terry Kurth (Fred) and Yvonne Verdoorn (Richard); his adoptive children, Joel and Kim Tewes; and his siblings, George, Earl, Francis, Judy, Lynnwood and Bette. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
