We bid farewell to Gerald M. Pedersen (Schleswig, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 18, 2025 at the age of 100. Gerald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Clara Pedersen (Nielson) and Nita M. Pedersen; his wife Charlene; his siblings, Alyce Kloepper, Ralph, Howard, David, Lawerence and Donald; and his siblings-in-law, Edmund Kloepper, Norma Pedersen, Irene Pedersen and Betty Pedersen.
He is survived by: his friends, Gerald and Charlene Schultz; his children, Darla Soles (Bill) of Swanton, Maryland, Donna Box (Dean) of Schaller and Daryl Pedersen (Barb) of Denison; his granddaughter Erica Gardner of Richmond, Virginia; his children, Ryan Box (Krista) of Schaller, Jeremy Box (Leslie) of Cedar Rapids, Brandon Pedersen (Bridgette) of Carol Stream, Illinois, Dolly Swearingen (Eric) of Hartford and Kayla Morgan (Ryan) of Schleswig; and his great grandchildren, Khalil Gardener, Jonathan, Landon Box, Addison, Emma, Carly Box, Brayden, William, Anthony Pedersen, Gage, Emery, Declan Swearingen, Lylian, Brody and Sophia Morgan. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins among other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (501 Glad St, Schleswig, IA 51461). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for donations to be made in his name.
